Parsa Noroozian | Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
“I’m a certified ADHD therapist and I am inclined towards working with Highly Sensitive People (HSPs) and creative, artistic people. The areas I typically work with include interpersonal and relationship struggles, self-regulation, emotion regulation, managing stimulus addiction, productivity, creative struggles, and other. I am pragmatic in my approach and choose from various modalities based on the client’s needs, but I value collaborative work, cultural sensitivity, and the client’s choice. While choices of treatment methods remain endless, I ground my practice in three basic elements: basic coaching, exploration of self in clients, and improving emotional attunement and resilience (in my work with children, teenagers, and adults).
I began my journey in the mental health field through years of volunteering, which fuelled my passion for understanding and nurturing the human mind. This led me to pursue a Bachelor of Science (BSc) from the University of Toronto, followed by a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. With a rich educational background and a heartfelt commitment to my practice, I strive to offer a compassionate and understanding therapeutic environment. My practice is significantly informed by my lived experience as an individual with ADHD and being a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP).
My journey isn’t just rooted in academia; I am also a passionate painter and composer. This creative side of me not only brings a unique perspective to the therapy I provide but also guides my practice with artists facing career challenges and creative struggles. I believe in harnessing the transformative power of creativity to foster self-awareness, resilience, and a deeper connection with one’s authentic self.”
