Shaghayegh Mirzaeisabet | Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Shaghayegh Mirzaeisabet is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who works mostly with people living with substance and behavioural addictions, mental health concerns, and concurrent disorders.
Addiction doesn’t always involve alcohol or drugs. It can also show up as overworking, compulsive or emotional eating, gambling, gaming, shopping, or excessive screen use. These patterns often begin as ways to cope, but can leave a person feeling overwhelmed, isolated, and stuck. You don’t have to face this alone. With the right support, meaningful change is possible.
Shaghayegh has worked in children’s mental health, addiction and mental health organizations, and community centres, supporting people from diverse backgrounds through some of life’s hardest moments.
In sessions, she offers a warm, safe, non-judgmental space where clients can be fully heard. Her approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and eclectic. She integrates a range of therapeutic modalities and tailors them to each client’s needs, goals, and pace. Together, she and her clients explore the patterns keeping them stuck and build practical strategies for lasting change.
Her aim is to help clients develop healthier coping skills, build resilience, strengthen self-compassion, and rebuild a sense of purpose, balance, and agency in their lives.
Shaghayegh works with children, teens and adults, in English and Farsi. She is part of our play therapy, therapy for adults and neurofeedback teams.
