Mitra Behboudi | Registered Psychotherapist
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a Registered Art Therapist (CATA), who is passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and meaningful space for children, youth, adults, and families. I believe that therapy is not just about managing symptoms, but about understanding your story, reconnecting with yourself, and building a more fulfilling life.
My approach is relational, client-centered, and trauma-informed. I value authenticity, empathy, and collaboration, and I work at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for each client. I see therapy as a space where you can feel truly heard, without judgment, while exploring both challenges and strengths.
I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and mindfulness-based practices. I also incorporate art therapy and play-based interventions, especially when working with children and youth, to support expression in ways that feel natural and accessible.
I have experience supporting individuals with anxiety, depression, emotional regulation difficulties, trauma, self-esteem challenges, and relationship concerns. I also work with children and families navigating behavioral and social difficulties, always tailoring my approach to each individual’s unique needs and developmental level.
I bring a culturally sensitive and holistic perspective to my work, recognizing how personal, family, and cultural experiences shape each person’s journey. My goal is to support you in building insight, resilience, and a deeper connection with yourself so you can move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
